Through their official Instagram accounts, Fabio Fognini and Flavia Pennetta confirmed they will become parents for the second time. "Being four, we will be doing even better," the couple wrote. They shared two beautiful pictures where they are holding their two-year-old son Federico, who was born in May 2017, and then the second photo where Fabio is touching Flavia's belly. The news had already appeared in June, but they waited until now to confirm it. Pennetta reached the United States with Federico to support Fabio at the US Open where the 32-year-old achieved his best result in 2015, losing to Feliciano Lopez in the fourth round. Pennetta has definitely some great memories from this event as she won it just four years ago defeating her compatriot Roberta Vinci in the final.
Fognini was asked if experience played a role in his Monte Carlo Masters final win over Dusan Lajovic earlier this year. "I think so, maybe. I was starting to break down. Then I won 6-3," replied the Italian. "Then break again. I was, I don't know if a bit unlucky or he was playing two shots like crazy. Because I think I was 1-0, 30-0, and he makes one passing along the line when I was to the net, and the second one was I think 30-All, backhand along the line like crazy. So I think experience work on these kinds of conditions, especially because play normal tennis was really difficult yesterday and today because of the weather. But is not important anymore."
