Romanian tennis star Marius Copil has received the final Basel wildcard.
The 29-year-old is now set to make his second consecutive main draw appearance in Basel.
Copil, ranked at No. 92 in the world, failed to secure a Basel main draw spot two years ago.
Back then, the Romanian lost his qualifying first round match to American Denis Kudla.
Copil didn't make the Basel main draw last year as well but he once again decided to try his luck in the qualifying event.
This time, the Romanian managed to win two qualifying matches and earn a spot in the Basel main draw.
The 29-year-old ended up having a sensational campaign in Basel as he made the final as a qualifier, before losing to record nine-time Basel champion Roger Federer.
Copil played at this week's European Open in Antwerp, where he made the quarterfinal before losing to former world No. 1 Andy Murray.
It remains to be seen can Copil make another deep run in Basel this year.
The first two Basel wildcards were awarded to Australia's Alex de Minaur and Swiss Henri Laaksonen.
