The Detroit Tigers hit four first-inning home runs, which tied a franchise record from 1974. There was a scary moment in the 6th inning when Gregory Polanco collided with Phillip Evans. Evans had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. There was no update on Evans immediately following the game.
